*About the Role*

The Accountant is responsible for supporting the company?s day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and period-end close activities. This role ensures accurate and timely financial data entry, processing, and reporting while maintaining proper documentation and adherence to accounting procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, organized, and eager to learn, with the ability to leverage accounting software, spreadsheets, and AI tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall financial operations.

*Responsibilities*

  • Manage Accounts Payable data entry and processing, ensuring accurate coding, verification, and completeness of receipts and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and post general ledger journal entries, including accruals, recurring monthly entries, and adjustments.
  • Perform bank, credit card, and other general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Assist with period-end and month-end close processes, financial reporting, and accounting administrative tasks.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and support other accounting-related requests and duties as assigned.
  • Liaise with company managers, vendors, and the accounting team to resolve discrepancies and support day-to-day financial operations.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

*Qualifications*

  • Completed post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2?3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience using accounting software and financial systems.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Comfort using AI tools to improve productivity, speed, and accuracy in accounting and administrative tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proactive, dependable, and quick to learn, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
