  • Drive sales and business development activities in Nigeria as the primary market, while developing opportunities across the assigned West African territory.

  • Develop business with system integrators, IoT solution providers, OEMs/ODMs, enterprises, utilities, telecom ecosystem players, distributors and technology partners.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for Quectel's complete portfolio, from components and modules to devices, connectivity, Edge Intelligence and customized/ODM solutions.
  • Develop opportunities across key verticals such as:

  • Asset tracking and logistics
  • Smart cities and infrastructure
  • Industrial IoT and manufacturing
  • Energy and oil & gas
  • Security and surveillance
  • Enterprise IoT
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers, technical stakeholders and senior management within target accounts.
  • Understand customer business and technical requirements and coordinate with internal technical and product teams to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Manage opportunities throughout the complete sales cycle, from initial engagement and qualification through technical evaluation, design-in, commercial negotiation and mass production.
  • Identify and develop suitable local partners, distributors and solution integrators to expand market coverage and execution capability.
  • Develop effective partner-based coverage for smaller and emerging markets within the assigned territory.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, major projects and new business opportunities across the region.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reviews, account plans and regular business updates.
  • Represent Quectel at customer meetings, industry events, exhibitions and partner activities.
  • Travel regularly within Nigeria and, when required, across West Africa.

The candidate should be capable of identifying where Quectel can add value beyond individual products and developing larger opportunities involving hardware, connectivity, Edge Intelligence, ODM/customized devices and complete IoT solutions.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be a strong business developer and hunter, capable of identifying new opportunities, opening strategic accounts and developing partnerships across the IoT ecosystem.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, Business or a related field.
  • 7+ years of B2B sales/business development experience, preferably within IoT, telecommunications, electronics, embedded systems, industrial technology or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of the Nigerian technology and enterprise market, with an established network of customers and partners.
  • Proven experience in new customer acquisition and business development, rather than only managing existing accounts.
  • Experience selling technical solutions to system integrators, enterprises, OEMs, utilities or technology companies.
  • Good understanding of IoT technologies and ecosystems, including areas such as cellular connectivity, wireless modules, devices, gateways, tracking, smart metering and IoT platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a qualified sales pipeline and convert opportunities into sustainable business.
  • Strong commercial negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven and comfortable working independently within a geographically distributed international organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize markets, customers and opportunities based on business potential.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required.
  • French is a strong advantage.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly.

What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is not simply an account manager. We are looking for someone with a hunter mentality who understands the local ecosystem, knows how to open doors and can create business from an early stage.

Existing relationships with major Nigerian enterprises, IoT companies, system integrators, utilities, telematics companies, industrial customers and technology partners will be a significant advantage.

Other

Geographic Focus While the position has regional responsibility, Nigeria is expected to remain the primary commercial focus. The successful candidate will establish strong local coverage in Nigeria while progressively developing strategic customers and partners in other priority West African markets.
