Premier Care Dental Management currently has a HR Generalist role available responsible for supporting assigned groups with full HR lifecycle needs including onboarding , benefits administration support, interpreting and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, performance management, general employee communications, and providing general HR support in conjunction with the HR team.

Location/Schedule:

Long Island Headquarters: 105 Maxess Rd., Melville, New York 11747

Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, or as needed for special projects/deadlines

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

Coordinate with Talent Acquisition team to ensure timely onboarding of new hires and accuracy in data entered into ADP for all assigned groups

Ensure all licensing is received as required for any new hires based on job title and state requirements

Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR team members

Act as point of contact for all questions including medical, vision, 401(k) and ancillary benefits for assigned groups

Respond to requests for LOA (FMLA, PFL, Disability, etc.), including management of leave tracking (FMLA, PFL, Disability, etc.) for assigned groups

Provides ad hoc reporting as requested by Operations, Finance, or the senior HR team

Manage any Workers Compensation claims for assigned groups

Coordinate with HR Director and/or VP of HR as needed with onboarding and support of acquisition staff for assigned groups

Provide direct HR support to office managers and regional managers and guidance related to performance management, disciplinary actions, and general for assigned offices

Management of any employee terminations and all offboarding notifications

Complete internal investigations related to employee complaints or at the request of operations/finance in coordination with VP of HR as required, and prepare investigative reports with recommendations for senior management team

Assist with general employee communications company wide as needed

Provide back-up support for other HR Generalists for other groups/offices as needed

Provide HR Generalist support for general staff via HR email as needed

Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Performs other duties and special projects for VP of HR as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent spoken and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to meet or exceed deadlines

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Prior experience with ADP Workforce now platform

Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail, Google Docs or related software.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

Minimum 3 years of human resource management experience in a multi-state environment

Experience within a healthcare environment strongly preferred

SHRM-CP a plus.

NY Salary Range: $75,000-$85,000 annually
