Operations & Funding Development Coordinator
Responsibilities:
Research and qualify grant opportunities across approved platforms (Candid, GrantWatch, FundsforNGOs, Instrumentl), verifying every finding against original funder sources rather than relying on AI summaries alone Score and classify opportunities and maintain a live pipeline tracker with complete sources, status, and next actions Prepare and submit grant applications using verified organizational data, running full validation before anything goes out Manage funder relationships and follow-up communications, logging every touch the same day Support the Family Memorial Assistance outreach cadence and track family applications Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports with truthful, accurate numbers Escalate blockers, risks, or scope questions promptly
Requirements:
Strong research and fact-verification skills — you check primary sources, not just AI output Excellent, persuasive written communication (grant narratives, funder correspondence) Comfort with Notion, Asana, and Google Workspace-style tools; CRM/pipeline-tracking experience a plus Close attention to detail and integrity — this role never estimates numbers or stretches facts to fit a grant Ability to work independently on West Africa Time hours in a remote, US-based nonprofit environment Prior grant writing, nonprofit development, or funding research experience preferred but not required for the right candidate
