Accountant

Responsibilities:

Monitor the overall financial performance and profitability of the business.

Track and analyze the cost of materials, labour, production and overheads.

Calculate and monitor the profitability of each project, furniture order and business unit.

Ensure projects and products are properly costed and priced to achieve desired margins.

Monitor factory expenses and identify unnecessary costs and financial leakages.

Prepare regular profitability, cost, and cash-flow reports for management.

Monitor income, expenses, receivables, payables and cash position.

Reconcile bank, cash, supplier, customer and inventory records.

Work closely with Production, Store, Procurement, Sales and Project teams to ensure accurate costing and financial control.

Monitor inventory value, material usage and production variances.

Prepare payroll and manage PAYE, VAT, WHT and other statutory obligations.

Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.

Assist management with budgeting, financial planning, and cost-control strategies.

Highlight financial risks and recommend ways to improve profitability.

Requirements:

A minimum of 4 years of experience

A minimum of a degree in a related field
