Your tasks

The Pasture Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Owode, responsible for overseeing pasture planning, development, and daily operations to support healthy livestock and efficient forage utilization. This role includes monitoring pasture conditions, managing grazing schedules, coordinating irrigation and reseeding, and implementing soil and grassland improvement practices.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of pasture management, grassland ecology, and rotational grazing techniques.
• Experience with livestock production (e.g., cattle, goats, sheep) and animal nutrition related to forage quality.
• Skills in farm planning, record keeping, and basic data analysis for pasture performance and yield.
• Ability to operate and oversee maintenance of farm machinery and equipment used in pasture establishment and care.
• Understanding of soil health, irrigation practices, and sustainable agricultural methods.
• Competence in supervising farm workers, coordinating tasks, and promoting safe work practices.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with farm management and production teams.
• Relevant agricultural training or a diploma/degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field is an added advantage.
• Prior experience in pasture or farm management, particularly in mixed livestock operations, is highly beneficial.
