Our client is a well-established international organisation based in Brussels, operating in a dynamic and multicultural environment. They are currently looking for an HR Officer to reinforce their HR team for a temporary assignment of approximately 7 to 8 months.
Description
As HR Officer, you will provide operational HR support throughout the employee lifecycle and contribute to the smooth running of HR processes across the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
HR Administration
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Managing employee lifecycle changes, including onboarding, contract amendments, promotions and offboarding.
- Preparing employment contracts, certificates and other HR documentation.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of HR systems and processes.
Payroll & Benefits
- Collecting and validating payroll-related information.
- Supporting the administration of employee benefits, insurance and leave management.
- Liaising with external payroll and benefits providers.
- Coordinating the administration of temporary workers and agency staff.
Employee Support
- Acting as a first point of contact for HR-related queries.
- Providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Supporting employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Assisting with employee relations matters.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Supporting recruitment activities from job posting to offer stage.
- Coordinating interviews and candidate communication.
- Preparing onboarding documentation and ensuring a smooth integration of new hires.
Performance Management & Learning
- Assisting with performance review cycles and related administration.
- Tracking training needs and participation.
- Supporting the organisation of internal and external training programmes.
Compliance & HR Projects
- Ensuring compliance with local employment legislation and internal policies.
- Maintaining confidentiality of employee information.
- Participating in HR projects aimed at improving processes and employee experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- Previous experience in an HR Administration, HR Officer or HR Generalist role.
- Good understanding of payroll administration and HR processes.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Service-oriented and proactive mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is considered an asset.
