Manufacturing Biotechnologist

Location: Tuas

Contract: Initial 12-month contract with strong potential for extension

Shift Pattern: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day & Night) – approximately 14–15 working days per month Day Shift: 8:00am – 8:30pm Night Shift: 8:00pm – 8:30am

Orion Group Life Sciences are currently recruiting a Manufacturing Biotechnologist on behalf of our multinational biopharmaceutical client based in Tuas, Singapore.

This is an initial 12-month contract with strong potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain biological manufacturing processes for the production of biopharmaceutical products in compliance with cGMP and production schedules.
• Execute upstream and/or downstream and/or central service biomanufacturing processes in accordance with approved batch records and SOPs.
• Operate bioreactors, centrifuges, buffer preparation systems, chromatography systems and other related bioprocess equipment.
• Perform in-process sampling, testing and monitoring of critical quality attributes.
• Maintain accurate GMP documentation and electronic batch records.
• Conduct equipment cleaning, sanitisation and preparation activities.
• Report and participate in investigations relating to manufacturing deviations.
• Support technology transfer, process validation and continuous manufacturing improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to cleanroom requirements, biosafety procedures and EHS regulations.

Requirements

• 1–4 years' experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology or biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Experience in upstream, downstream or central services manufacturing would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of cGMP and manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift pattern .
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
