Demand Planning Data Analyst, Tech Industry (contract)

About the Role

Our client is a leading global technology company and they are looking for a Procurement Analyst to support business and procurement strategies through demand planning, forecasting, financial analysis, and stakeholder management.

In this role, you will act as a key liaison between Procurement and various business functions, helping stakeholders identify opportunities, improve demand planning processes, and make data-driven business decisions.

This is a contract role ending on 2 March 2027.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business functions to understand demand, business priorities, KPIs, and strategic objectives across multiple procurement categories.
• Provide actionable insights from data analysis to support business and procurement decision-making.
• Support category owners in developing effective procurement and category strategies based on demand and business insights.
• Analyze historical trends, demand drivers, and business data to develop and validate forecasting models and planning methodologies.
• Identify and prioritize procurement and spend opportunities and develop relevant project pipelines.
• Use historical and comparable-item data to develop forecasts and establish appropriate order points for new items.
• Develop and improve demand planning processes, governance frameworks, reporting, and stakeholder engagement models.
• Facilitate alignment between Procurement and business stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Supply, Product, and Engineering.
• Track and report performance against established OKRs, KPIs, and business targets.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of procurement, demand planning, supply chain, business analytics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, business planning, and demand management.
• Experience in demand forecasting, financial analysis, spend analysis, or business intelligence.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Good business acumen and strategic thinking.
• Strong understanding of KPIs, performance measurement, and business reporting.
• Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other data analytics/forecasting tools.
