small engine mechanic

*Overview:* We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of lawn and garden equipment. This is a hands-on position that requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment in a fast paced environment.

*Duties:*

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on 2-cycle and 4 cycle lawn/garden equipment.
• Use dealer portals to look up parts required for repairs
• Participates in service training programs required.
• Maintains current knowledge of products.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations.
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
• Accounts for all time and for all material used in performing assigned tasks.

*Skills and Requirements:*

• Experience as a small engine technician.
• Ability to perform repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems of lawn and garden equipment.
• Ability to use computer for parts lookup functions.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Professionalism when communicating with clients.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
