Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused EKG Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform electrocardiograms and related cardiac diagnostic testing for patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clinical providers while supporting early detection and management of cardiovascular conditions in a geriatric population.
Responsibilities
Perform EKGs, rhythm strips, and other non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort
Properly place electrodes and operate EKG equipment according to established protocols
Monitor patients during testing and report abnormal findings to the supervising clinician
Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and timely submission of test results
Maintain and clean equipment in compliance with safety and infection control standards
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff
Travel to skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of an EKG Technician training program preferred
EKG Technician certification (CET or equivalent) preferred
Prior experience performing EKGs strongly preferred
Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings a plus
Strong attention to detail and technical proficiency
Excellent communication and patient-care skills
Comfortable working with the geriatric population
Ability to travel as needed
