CLASS 4 DRIVER

Job Summary

Safely operate Class 4 commercial vehicles to deliver goods across Singapore during night shifts, ensuring timely deliveries, vehicle safety, and compliance with road regulations while supporting logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 4 commercial vehicles such as trucks and lorries to transport goods and equipment within Singapore
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes considering traffic and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
• Load delivery vehicles to optimal capacity to prevent damage and maintain safety
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to confirm safe and working condition
• Report mechanical issues or vehicle damage promptly to supervisors and ensure regular servicing per company guidelines
• Follow all road safety and traffic regulations to minimize accident risks and ensure compliance with Singapore’s transport laws
• Adhere to company policies on vehicle usage, safety protocols, and customer service standards
• Support logistics teams with special projects or tasks as required
• Communicate effectively with staff of diverse nationalities to coordinate deliveries and logistics
• Physically handle cargo by moving items using pallet jacks or hand carrying, including walking, driving, and carrying heavy items for extended periods

Required competencies and certifications

• Possess a valid Class 4 Driving License (Manual License)
• Maintain a clean driving record

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Completed at least GCE ‘N’ Level or GCE ‘O’ Level
• Have at least 1 year of relevant work experience in logistics or related fields
• Good knowledge of Singapore roads
