QUANTITY: 1 JOB TYPE: CONTRACT Job Information Field Detail Job Title E & I Supervisor – Winder Organisation MAC Engineering Location Obuasi-KMS Job Type Contract Skill Type Skilled Duration of the Contract 1 year-Subject to Renewal Performance Criteria Main Purpose (Role): The E & I Supervisor – Winder is responsible for supervising the inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of winder and shaft electrical, instrumentation, and control systems across surface and underground operations, maximising reliability, minimising downtime, improving availability, and ensuring all maintenance activities comply with engineering standards, statutory regulations, and mine safety procedures. Key Performance Area’s (Responsibilities): Supervise maintenance of winder and shaft motors, VFDs/VSDs, switchgear, and power distribution systems.Supervise PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, and communication systems.Maintain shaft signalling and interlocking systems.Coordinate electrical inspections, testing, and calibration of instrumentation.Lead troubleshooting of automation and control systems.Ensure integrity of protection systems, emergency power, and safety-critical control functions.Manage E&I personnel and contractors.Prepare maintenance reports, test records, risk assessments, and work permits.Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and mine regulations.Support continuous improvement to increase E&I reliability and availability. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience OR Diploma in Engineering (E&I/Electrical) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR Technician Part III Certificate with 5 years of experience in engineering operations. Essential / Advantageous Essential MINCOM certification, mine safety supervisory certification, lifting and hoisting competency training, and permit-to-work system training are highly desirable. Essential Technical Competencies Proficiency in winder and shaft electrical systems, VFDs/VSDs, switchgear, protection systems, PLC/SCADA, instrumentation calibration, signalling and interlocking systems, and control-system troubleshooting. Memberships Experience Professional Membership Required Essential / Advantageous N/A Essential Advantageous Job Related Experience Required Time Span Essential / Advantageous Minimum of 5–8 years of practical experience in winder and shaft electrical, instrumentation, and control maintenance, hoisting systems, or heavy industrial environments, including supervisory experience.
