Mechanical Engineer – Water & Pumping Stations

Duties and Responsibilities: Operational Duties: Operate stations and supervise maintenance tasks during assigned shifts.

Manage the station team and organize 24-hour shift schedules.

Prepare operational reports including electricity and water consumption, and breakdown logs.

Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure process integration.

Monitor both direct (electricity) and indirect (labor, maintenance) costs.

Maintenance Duties: Supervise the operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, motors, and valves).

Develop and implement preventive and periodic maintenance plans.

Monitor technical performance, analyze operational data, and propose improvements.

Identify faults and carry out corrective maintenance in coordination with technical teams.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Prepare periodic reports on equipment performance, energy consumption, and failure rates.

Contribute to expansion or refurbishment projects.

Coordinate with electrical and control teams to ensure system integration.

Strictly adhere to occupational health and safety procedures.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in operating and maintaining water or pumping stations.

Good knowledge of pumping systems, vertical and horizontal pumps, lubrication and cooling systems, and automation.

Proficiency in technical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work in the field, handle work pressure, and collaborate within a team.
