Responsibilities
- Manage quantity surveying and commercial activities for marine and shipyard projects.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, quotations and tender submissions.
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), progress claims and variation orders.
- Monitor project costs, contract values and overall commercial performance.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and negotiate commercial terms.
- Verify work progress, quantities and payment claims.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on contractual and commercial matters.
- Monitor variations, costs and potential commercial risks throughout the project.
- Maintain proper records of contracts, claims, measurements and project documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in marine, shipyard or offshore projects.
- Good knowledge of cost estimation, tendering, contracts, claims and variations.
- Familiar with Bills of Quantities (BOQ), progress claims and measurement.
- Good understanding of marine/shipyard construction works and project processes.
- Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of QS or estimating software is an advantage.
- Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
