QC ENGINEER

Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure marine, shipyard and offshore works comply with project specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect materials, fabrication, installation and completed works.
- Review drawings, specifications, inspection requirements and quality procedures.
- Coordinate inspections and testing with clients, consultants and relevant parties.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, quality records and documentation.
- Identify quality issues, non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions.
- Monitor welding, fabrication, installation and workmanship quality.
- Assist in preparing and implementing Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and quality procedures.
- Support project teams in resolving quality-related issues and ensure timely rectification.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and project requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant QC/QA experience in marine, shipyard or offshore projects preferred.
- Good knowledge of marine fabrication, welding, installation and inspection processes.
- Familiar with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), quality documentation and non-conformance procedures.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of relevant marine/engineering standards and welding requirements is an advantage.
- Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to maintain accurate quality records.
- Willing to work in shipyard, marine or offshore environments when required.
