About the role

This key role will contribute extensively to single-discipline and multi-disciplinary tasks and assignments within the area of specialization with a high degree of independence. Candidates with offshore experience are preferred.

Key responsibilities

Perform periodic health assessment surveillance of critical rotating equipment and report to stakeholders the analysis and recommendations for any deviations.

Provide technical information and expertise to other disciplines, both engineering and non-engineering, as required.

Assist operations and maintenance managers in making decisions regarding unplanned shutdowns due to machinery issues, including options, scope, or duration optimization.

Investigate chronic rotating equipment reliability issues, analyze causes, and provide options or recommendations for resolution with technical and economic feasibility.

Propose solutions or review equipment and/or system changes for reliability or operational enhancements and optimization.

Contribute to root cause failure analyses (RCFAs), risk assessments, and HAZOP to identify causes and eliminate or mitigate risks.

Conduct specialized technical and operational investigations along with evaluation of medium-complexity tasks, offering recommendations on the most appropriate approach.

Provide discipline support to projects by technically reviewing documents, analyzing deviations, and making informed decisions.

Support machinery FAT, SAT, commissioning, start-up, and evaluate any deviations as part of project completion.

Mentor less experienced engineers to help develop their technical capabilities.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: Minimum 6 years' experience in an oil and gas environment.

Proven ability to attain, maintain, and acquire competence in accordance with technical competence framework requirements.

Technical and business skills

Fluency in English, both verbal and written communication.

Computer literate with knowledge of relevant software tools and specifications.

Effective presentation and communication skills.
