Accountabilities: Architect and implement Snowflake security and governance frameworks covering RBAC, functional and access role patterns, network and authentication policies, dynamic data masking, and secure access controls.

Design and optimize Snowflake platform economics through warehouse sizing, compute virtualization, resource monitors, query tagging, alerts, and reserved-capacity planning.

Implement data protection and compliance controls, including row-level access policies, column-level masking, PII tagging, and Access History auditing.

Manage identity and authentication infrastructure, including scalable role hierarchies, federated authentication, and Okta/SCIM integrations.

Build and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code to provision, standardize, and enforce governance controls across environments.

Develop automated access-request, approval, certification, monitoring, and compliance workflows through CI/CD pipelines.

Create governance monitoring capabilities that identify access anomalies, policy violations, and compliance issues in near real time.

Lead the technical implementation of SOX or similar compliance controls, including audit-ready reporting, evidence collection, and continuous compliance validation.

Architect secure data-sharing patterns across Snowflake, Iceberg, and AWS services such as S3, Athena, and Spark.

Support governed data orchestration using Airflow/MWAA, Lambda, and EventBridge while ensuring consistent security and governance across data engines.

Establish governance foundations for Snowflake AI/ML capabilities, including Cortex, Agents, and Snowpark ML.

Act as a technical escalation point for data governance and platform reliability issues while enabling secure self-service for engineering and data teams.

Drive reusable governance patterns that reduce manual effort, improve audit readiness, accelerate data delivery, and optimize platform costs.

Requirements:

Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake governance, including RBAC, row-level security, dynamic data masking, network and authentication policies, resource monitors, and Access History.

Proven experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, with the ability to replace manual configuration processes with reliable automation.

Solid AWS experience, particularly with S3 storage integrations, IAM trust policies, and multi-engine cloud data architectures.

Experience designing scalable identity and access-management models, including federated authentication, RBAC hierarchies, and Okta/SCIM integrations.

Practical experience supporting SOX, SOC 2, or comparable enterprise compliance programs, including audit evidence generation and control documentation.

Strong data architecture knowledge, including SQL for access auditing and governance reporting, Iceberg table formats, and schema evolution.

Proficiency in Python or an equivalent scripting language, with experience using technologies such as Airflow, Lambda, or EventBridge.

Experience with modern data catalogs such as Alation, Collibra, or comparable metadata-management platforms is desirable.

Exposure to Snowflake AI/ML capabilities such as Cortex, Agents, or Snowpark ML and an understanding of their governance implications is an advantage.

Experience implementing CI/CD practices for data-platform infrastructure and governance testing, including GitHub-based workflows, is preferred.

Strong communication, ownership, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate governance policies into practical technical solutions.

Demonstrated ability to build enterprise data-governance practices and drive adoption and change across complex technical environments.
