Accountabilities:
Design, implement, and maintain automated, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions that improve operational efficiency.
Lead customer cloud environment implementations, migrations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities.
Serve as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues, driving root cause analysis and long-term remediation strategies.
Monitor cloud environments using telemetry, logging, and alerting tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Develop automation solutions for provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and operational workflows using modern infrastructure practices.
Establish and improve operational standards, documentation, processes, and security controls across cloud environments.
Participate in incident response activities, on-call rotations, disaster recovery testing, and post-incident reviews.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching to engineers while promoting a culture of reliability and continuous learning.
Collaborate with engineering, security, architecture, and customer-facing teams to deliver secure and effective cloud solutions.
Contribute to architectural discussions, compliance initiatives, and strategic improvements across cloud platforms.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
7+ years of experience in cloud operations, infrastructure engineering, or related technical roles with increasing responsibility.
Strong expertise in enterprise cloud environments, operating systems, networking, and security concepts.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platforms.
Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or ARM templates.
Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, REST APIs, and related technologies.
Experience with Kubernetes, containerized environments, and cloud-native deployment platforms.
Knowledge of identity and access management, modern authentication protocols, and zero-trust security concepts.
Experience with monitoring, observability, incident management, and Site Reliability Engineering practices.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot, including the ability to validate and operationalize generated outputs.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage complex technical initiatives independently.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, influence teams, and promote operational excellence.
