Accountabilities: As a Senior Consultant specializing in pricing and settlement risk management, you will play a key role in designing, optimizing, and supporting pricing strategies and analytical solutions. You will combine insurance expertise, data analysis, and collaboration skills to improve risk selection, pricing effectiveness, and operational performance.

Design, maintain, and enhance pricing engine rules to improve risk management and support direct pricing growth.

Prepare pricing reports and analyze data to identify opportunities for improving pricing strategies and business outcomes.

Act as a subject matter expert supporting the development and implementation of pricing analytics models.

Conduct protective value studies to monitor model performance and improve risk selection processes.

Lead or contribute to innovation-focused pricing projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Support pricing operations by providing training, guidance, and expertise on tools developed by the team.

Translate complex analytical findings into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.

Collaborate with internal partners to improve processes, methodologies, and pricing capabilities.

Stay informed on emerging trends, technologies, and innovations impacting insurance pricing and risk management.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in life insurance underwriting, pricing analysis, and data-driven decision-making. You should have the ability to combine technical expertise with business judgment, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in life insurance and critical illness insurance underwriting.

Experience with signing authority for both life insurance and critical illness products.

Professional designation as a Chartered Professional Underwriter (CPU) and FALU designation completed or in progress.

Strong interest in the future of underwriting, pricing innovation, and emerging analytical approaches.

Experience or advanced knowledge of Tableau, Excel, and data analysis techniques.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify business opportunities.

Excellent time management, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong decision-making abilities and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business partners.

Bilingual French and English communication skills required for positions located in Quebec due to frequent interactions with bilingual colleagues and partners.
