Design Section Head

Role Description The Design Section Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role oversees the design function for structural steel and related industrial products, ensuring designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and client requirements. Daily responsibilities include leading and mentoring the design team, reviewing and approving design drawings, coordinating with engineering, production, and project management teams, and aligning design output with branding and product guidelines. The Design Section Head collaborates with stakeholders to translate project needs into practical and efficient design solutions, manages design workflows and timelines, and supports continuous improvement of design processes and tools. The role also involves preparing design documentation, participating in technical reviews, and contributing to innovation in products, visual identity, and interior or facility-related design where applicable.

Qualifications Strong design leadership and coordination capabilities, including Design Management and team supervision.

Proficiency in Visual Design and Branding to ensure consistent, professional representation of Sesco Steel’s products and solutions.

Experience in Product Design for industrial or structural steel applications, with the ability to translate technical requirements into practical design outputs.

Knowledge of Interior Design principles relevant to industrial facilities, offices, or customer-facing spaces is an advantage.

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Experience in steel fabrication, heavy industry, or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly beneficial.

Advanced skills in CAD and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Tekla, or equivalent) and familiarity with BIM or similar platforms.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and quality standards.

Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects.

Demonstrated ability to organize workloads, meet deadlines, and implement process improvements within design teams.
