Warehouse / Logistics Operative

Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire £26,000–£28,000 per annum, negotiable Permanent, full-time Monday to Friday

Our client is a growing specialist importer and bulk distributor of quality wall and floor tiles sourced from manufacturers around the world. With an established warehousing and distribution operation, the business offers excellent job security for the right person.

The Role

Our client has a full-time vacancy for a Warehouse / Logistics Operative at its Huntingdon depot. You will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of goods in and out, while keeping the best interests of the company and its premises at the forefront of your day.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the smooth operation of all incoming and outgoing goods
• Receiving full 20-foot container loads using the on-site ramp facilities
• Selecting wall and floor tiles precisely by code and colour description
• Preparing and shipping pallets of wall and floor tiles
• Completing manual lifting as required
• Carrying out extensive forklift work

You will report directly to the Depot / Logistics Manager and the company directors.

Skills and Experience

Applicants must be:

• Methodical and precise
• Reliable
• A strong team player
• Comfortable completing manual lifting
• Able to prioritise the company’s best interests and look after its premises

Forklift experience would be advantageous, although training will be provided if necessary.
