Project Manager Refrigeration

Job Descriptions

• Lead, manage, and control industrial refrigeration projects to ensure completion on time, within budget, and in accordance with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Develop the Project Execution Plan (PEP), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Gantt Chart, and project milestones.
• Coordinate all project activities on-site and ensure that work is carried out according to technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Manage changes in project scope (change orders) and identify and mitigate project risks.
• Lead coordination with Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, technicians, customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Manage work schedules, task allocation, and project team resources.
• Ensure installation and project activities comply with quality standards and technical specifications.
• Supervise refrigeration piping installation, nitrogen-purged brazing, pressure testing, vacuum testing, refrigerant charging, commissioning, and performance testing.
• Ensure commissioning and performance testing are conducted according to established procedures.
• Lead the project handover process to customers.
• Ensure the completeness of project documentation, including Commissioning Reports, As-Built Drawings, Operation Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, and Warranty Documents.
• Prepare Daily Project Reports, Weekly Progress Reports, Monthly Project Reports, cost reports, risk reports, and Project Closing Reports.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Refrigeration Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial refrigeration, including experience in project leadership.
• Knowledge of industrial refrigeration cycles and cooling load calculations.
• Knowledge of compressor, evaporator, condenser, and refrigeration component selection.
• Knowledge of refrigerant systems such as R404A, R448A, R449A, R134a, R507, NH₃, and CO₂ according to area of expertise.
• Knowledge of Cold Storage, Cold Room, Blast Freezer, Air Blast Freezer, Water Chiller, Glycol Chiller, Tube Ice Machine, Slurry Ice Machine, and Flake Ice Machine systems.
• Knowledge of water filtration systems integrated with refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of refrigeration piping, process water piping, and supporting utility systems.
• Basic knowledge of PLC/HMI, industrial electrical systems, and control panels.
• Ability to read technical drawings, including P&IDs, layouts, isometric drawings, and single-line diagrams.
• Knowledge of refrigeration system commissioning and performance testing.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and refrigeration installation practices.
• Strong project management, project planning, scheduling, and budget control skills.
• Strong risk management and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and project reporting applications.
• Willingness to travel for business and work at project sites.
