Senior Site Electrical Engineer

Role overview

Senior site electrical engineer responsible for electrical site engineering and coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee electrical systems, including power, lighting, and low-current systems such as fire alarms, CCTV, data, and sound systems.
• Review shop drawings, identify clashes, and coordinate resolutions with other disciplines, including architectural, structural, and mechanical teams.
• Coordinate site activities and ensure electrical work complies with project requirements and approved drawings.
• Prepare inspection requests (IRs), monitor site progress, and follow up on snag lists and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Review material inspection requests (MIRs) and verify that delivered materials comply with approved material submittals and project specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors and other project teams to resolve technical issues and support project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, preferably in electrical power or a related field.
• Five to eight years of relevant experience, preferably in construction, contracting, or consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, project specifications, and applicable standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Revit MEP is an advantage.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively on site.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
