Housekeeper

We are seeking a highly organised, trustworthy and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness, order and overall presentation of a private residence in Abuja.

The ideal candidate takes genuine pride in maintaining a well-run home and understands the importance of discretion, consistency, attention to detail and professional conduct when working in a private household.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the entire residence. Clean and organise bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, kitchen and other household spaces. Perform laundry, ironing and appropriate garment care. Change and maintain bed linen, towels and household textiles. Keep wardrobes, cupboards and storage areas organised. Monitor household cleaning and personal-care supplies and report when replenishment is required. Assist with receiving and organising household deliveries when required. Maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the home. Identify maintenance or household issues and report them promptly. Assist with preparing the home before and after guests or events. Handle household belongings with care and confidentiality. Carry out other reasonable household duties required to maintain the smooth running of the residence.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years’ professional housekeeping experience. Previous experience as a housekeeper, household assistant, hotel housekeeper or in a similar role. Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Good knowledge of laundry, ironing and fabric care. Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities. Reliable, punctual and trustworthy. Professional appearance and conduct. Good communication skills. References from previous employers are required. Ability to anticipate household needs without constant supervision. Previous experience working in a private residence or executive household. Experience working for a family, executive or high-profile household. Experience managing household supplies and inventory.
