Project Director

Responsibilities:

Hold overall accountability for the project across all dimensions: programme, cost, quality, safety, client relationship, and regulatory compliance Serve as the primary point of contact for the client at project director level; attend all client meetings and ensure client satisfaction is actively managed throughout the project Chair the weekly project review meeting and review all programme reports before issue to the client Make final decisions on all design, commercial, and programme matters escalated from the project team Approve all change orders, major procurement decisions, subcontract awards, and consultant appointments Ensure the project is delivered within the agreed budget and programme Recruit, lead, and develop the CDL project team; build a team culture of accountability, professionalism, and delivery Manage all regulatory relationships through appointed consultants Report project status, risks, and financial performance to CDL's Managing Director monthly Institutionalise learnings from this project into CDL's construction division for application on future projects

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field; postgraduate qualification preferred Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry, of which at least 8 years in a project director or equivalent senior leadership role Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale residential or mixed-use developments in Nigeria, with preference for Lagos State Deep familiarity with the Lagos regulatory environment and relevant utility authorities Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-block residential projects on time and within budget Experience managing Design and Build contracts and multi-disciplinary consultant teams Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB), Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), or equivalent professional body is an advantage; COREN registration is beneficial
