LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
About the Position: This position is under the control of Industrial Base Operations Maintence Integration Directorate. The Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) is responsible for sustaining war fighting readiness and managing a large part of the Army's investment in war fighting capacity as integrators of nearly 3,000 weapon systems that form the core of the Army's war fighting capability. Major duties
- Serves as an expert logistical data and systems analyst and advisor to the Director.
- Performs special projects and studies to include examination and analysis of potential logistical problems and recommendations for testing and improving procedures, programs, and/or systems as they relate to the mission of the organization.
- Serves as advisor to the Director, with regard to achieving increased effectiveness of operations through the optimum effective planning, budgeting, and utilization of personnel and financial resources.
- Assigns work, provides technical advice and guidance, reviews work, evaluates the quality, and provides training to team members.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes at least 3 out of 4 experiences listed:
- Provides guidance on taskers, reviewing submissions for accuracy, to ensure they are submitted on time.
- Review and summarize policy, orders, and guidance for leadership approval.
- Conduct reviews of manning tables to ensure accuracy.
- Analyze policy changes to develop internal guidance.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
