Technical Advisor

To provide expert technical know-how on all technical and quality improvement matters to ensure that the technical excellence provides a competitive edge to the company and supports in meeting its commercial objectives.

Functional roles and responsibilities

Examine the quality of the workmanship to ensure that it conforms to the "Fix it Right First Time" approach so as to enhance the confidence of the customers in the workshop and maintain continuity of customer loyalty.

Keep abreast of the new technological developments and inventions in the automobile industry in general or any new technological advancement in the franchise handled by the company in particular to incorporate them in workshop quality system to improve efficiency and quality.

Support the technicians in handling customer complaints; advise them on better options for carrying out repairs using advanced technical information so as to improve quality of complaint resolution and win customer satisfaction.

Identify product defects, prepare product concern summaries, and raise product defect reports for the principals' perusal and follow up with them to ensure rectification of such defects in future production or models.

Maintain in systematic order the technical library consisting of bulletins from principals' technical guides, magazines, etc., so that it can be referred to for understanding or solving a technical problem as and when required.

Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles.

Qualifications & experience

Diploma in Automobile Engineering

2-3 years of experience in the same discipline

Intermediate with a Trade Certificate in Automobile Technology

Ability to operate computer software like MS Office

Good communication and customer handling skills
