- Operational Efficiency & Lead Time Management
Transit & Clearance Speed: Minimize total transit and clearance lead times across all entry/exit ports.
Forwarder & Logistics Performance: Follow up with freight forwarders and transport partners to streamline delivery timelines and cut land fees.
Cross-Border Resolution: Act swiftly with brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies to resolve border and site customs delays.
- Financial & Cost Optimization
Freight & Import Cost Reduction: Source competitive freight rates globally while minimizing overall importation costs.
Penalty & Fee Avoidance: Eliminate customs penalties, demurrage, and unnecessary delay fees.
Financial Oversight & Duty Management: Manage duties, tariffs, and duty drawback programs; provide the Finance team with accurate upfront fee and expense forecasts.
- Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
Pharma & Trade Compliance: Oversee complete inbound/outbound clearance processes for pharmaceutical shipments, ensuring 100% adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and quality certifications.
Product Classification: Accurately classify products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) .
Documentation: Review and manage commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, shipment tracking,
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Trade Intelligence
Cross-Functional Hub: Act as the central point of contact connecting Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, and external regulatory bodies.
Regulatory Tracking: Stay up to date on evolving customs rules, regulations, and rejection/appeals procedures to ensure smooth shipment approvals.
- NAFEZA & ACI Management:
Have knowledge to work on NAFEZA and issuing ACID number, and linking shipments on Nafeza
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Pharmacy, or a related field. -Experience from (5 : 8) years in pharmaceutical Industry including at least 3 years in supervisory level .
- Awareness of Egyptian Customs Law and customs clearance procedures & Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) import requirements.
-Have knowledge to work on NAFEZA and issuing ACID number, and linking shipments on Nafeza . -Full awareness of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN ) . -Ensure compliance with Egyptian Customs regulations and all applicable governmental requirements.
