Job Summary
Perform structural engineering design and analysis for underground structures managing projects from planning through construction while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and calculations to develop clear design sketches and drawings for underground structures
- Conduct engineering assessments and evaluations of existing structures and alternatives, preparing detailed technical reports
- Prepare design briefs, technical reports, technical notes, and submission documents for regulatory authorities
- Deliver cost-effective design solutions that comply with statutory regulations and client requirements
- Coordinate with architects and consultants to resolve interface issues and provide technical clarifications
- Prepare tender documents including conditions of contract, specifications, and tender drawings
- Manage project activities across study, planning, design, tendering, and construction stages
- Provide specialized technical solutions and expert advice to clients addressing complex engineering challenges
- Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment
- Communicate proactively and mentor team members to support their professional development
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in structural design for infrastructure or building projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or BIM software to enhance design productivity and accuracy
- Strong project management skills to oversee project delivery and coordination
- Registration with PEB Singapore is advantageous but not mandatory
