WE’RE HIRING – CIVIL/STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Our client is seeking a skilled and hands-on Structural Engineer to support the planning, design, technical coordination, supervision, and execution of construction and engineering projects.

The ideal candidate must combine structural design capability with practical site execution experience and be able to ensure that construction works conform to approved drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

▪️ Prepare, review, and update structural drawings, calculations, layouts, technical details, and construction documentation.

▪️ Provide structural design input and practical engineering solutions throughout project delivery.

▪️ Supervise structural and civil works, including foundations, reinforcement, formwork, concrete, beams, columns, slabs, steelworks, blockwork, roofing, and drainage .

▪️ Inspect and verify construction materials, workmanship, and critical works before casting, covering, or concealment.

▪️ Review contractor technical submissions, work methods, drawings, and material proposals.

▪️ Identify and resolve design conflicts, structural risks, poor workmanship, material defects, and execution gaps .

▪️ Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, quantity surveyors, procurement teams, and other disciplines, including basic MEP coordination .

▪️ Prepare site inspection reports, defect logs, technical reports, progress updates, and corrective-action follow-ups.

▪️ Ensure compliance with approved designs, project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

Requirements

▪️ B.Sc./B.Eng. in Civil, Structural, Building Engineering , or related discipline.

▪️ Minimum 3-6years' relevant experience in structural engineering, design, civil works, construction supervision, or project delivery.

▪️ Strong ability to prepare, review, and interpret structural drawings and technical details .

▪️ Proficiency in relevant tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Orion, ProtaStructure, STAAD.Pro, Tekla, MS Project and/or Microsoft Excel .

▪️ Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel structures, foundations, construction methods, materials, site quality control, and structural systems .

▪️ Relevant professional membership/certification such as COREN, NSE, NIStructE, IStructE, ICE, HSE , or related engineering certification is an advantage.

▪️ Strong technical reporting, problem-solving, contractor management, and communication skills.
