Job Summary: The Retail Sales Associate has the opportunity to develop great relationships with our repeat customers in addition to informing the first-time customer of everything we have to offer. The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for enhancing customer experience and sales generation in the following areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Processes sales on point of sale
Responsible for maintaining accuracy of cash drawer
Greets and assists guests
Assists with fitting guests in hockey and figure skating equipment and finding correct sizes
Sharpens skates and repairs equipment
Assists guests with purchasing decisions
Maintains pro-shop as merchandised
Maintains cleanliness of all retail areas
Applies names and numbers to jerseys with heat press
Additional projects tasks and events assigned
Qualifications:
Retail experience
Familiar with hockey and figure skating equipment fittings, repairs, and sharpening
Must be highly organized with the ability to multi-task
Self-starter with a high degree of enthusiasm, creative vision and ability to lead in a high-stress environment
Be able to make decisions in a fast-paced atmosphere
Must have strong interpersonal communication skills
Familiar with operating point of sale system
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is an hourly position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
