The world still has coverage blind spots. You could help eliminate them at Skylo.

Skylo has pioneered a standards-based approach to satellite connectivity. We connect smartphones and IoT devices directly to satellites. No special hardware, no entirely new networks. Just billions of existing devices, suddenly reachable anywhere on Earth. We're not building toward this future. We're already in it.

Our direct-to-device service is live on millions of activated devices across five continents, covering more than 72 million square kilometers, in partnership with leading satellite operators, mobile network operators, Tier-1 chipset makers, and OEMs worldwide. And we're just getting started.

At the heart of it all is Skylo's commercial NTN vRAN: a 3GPP standards-based, cloud-native platform that seamlessly bridges terrestrial and satellite networks. It's the infrastructure that makes true anywhere, anytime connectivity possible.

When you join Skylo, you'll work at the intersection of three markets reshaping how the world stays connected: mass-market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT. Enabling people outdoors and critical workflows in the world's most remote places.

This is a rare chance to work on technology that matters, at a company that's already proving it works

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Social strategy and voice — LinkedIn and X

  • Own Skylo's social strategy: what we post, why, in whose voice, and what we deliberately skip.
  • Run LinkedIn as the place where media, analysts and the industry come first for what's happening in direct-to-device connectivity. Sustain a publishing cadence with original points of view, not reposted press releases.
  • Stand up X as a second channel as a corporate handle.
  • Develop executive and spokesperson social presence — drafting in their voice, building their POV, briefing them on moments worth entering.
  • Report on engagement quality against a stated benchmark, and on whether the right people — reporters, analysts, partners — are actually in the audience.

Directing the agency team

  • Direct Skylo's social agency partners on day-to-day social execution: brief them, set the bar, review the work, and hold it to outcomes rather than output volume.
  • Be the person who decides what's good enough to publish under the Skylo name.
  • Keep agency work aligned to the messaging architecture Skylo owns, across markets and time zones.

Owned content

  • Turn the corporate narrative into publishable material: blog posts, video scripts, event content.
  • Produce the people and culture content that makes a startup credible to senior candidates — what the team is building, what it's like to build it, why people joined — and run employee advocacy so it travels through individual voices, not only the company page.
  • Partner with the talent team so open roles reach candidates who already understand the company, and so hiring moments get social support.
  • Build the employee-generated content engine: a standing way to source stories, technical detail and points of view from across Skylo so posts come from what people actually know; Interview Skylo engineers, product leads and partner teams and convert technical substance into stories a carrier executive, an OEM buyer and a reporter each understand.
  • Own messaging copy across our website in partnership with the brand designer and the rest of the team, keeping site, social and press consistent as the story evolves.
  • Build the content supply for industry moments — flagship events, announcements, launches — including capture on site and reuse afterward.

Discoverability and measurement

  • Partner with Skylo's PR agency, who own reporting, to turn their numbers into decisions: what to double down on, what to kill, what to test next. They measure; you set the directions.
  • Own how Skylo reads to AI answer engines and search — structure site copy, bylines and third-party placements so crawlers and LLMs describe the category and the company accurately, and keep the facts identical everywhere they're scraped from.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 5-7 years in social and content marketing, brand communications or editorial, with most of it in B2B technology, infrastructure or another technically demanding category.
  • Deep B2B social expertise, LinkedIn above all: you have built a corporate presence that industry insiders actually follow, and you know what earns engagement from analysts and reporters versus what only moves follower counts. X experience is a plus.
  • Proven experience briefing and directing agencies or external creative teams. You can set a bar, give useful feedback, and get better work out of a partner than they'd produce unmanaged.
  • Exceptional writer and editor with range: a LinkedIn post, a page of website copy and technical blogs.
  • Ability to translate complex technical material into clear, credible narratives, evidenced by published work.
  • Startup pace and startup scope: you decide, you draft, you ship, and you're comfortable with a small team where the path from idea to published is short.
  • Fluent with social management, analytics and AI-assisted content tooling.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Satellite, telecom, wireless, IoT or semiconductor experience — or evidence you've ramped fast on a standards-heavy domain before.
  • Worked alongside a PR agency and understand how social, earned media and analyst relations reinforce each other.
  • Marketing to two audiences at once: enterprise and partner buyers alongside a consumer-adjacent end-user story.
  • Experience with AI and LLM discoverability as a content discipline, not a buzzword.
  • Video and multimedia: scripting, shot lists, working with videographers and motion designers, capturing content live at events.
  • Enough design fluency to brief a designer well and put together a decent asset yourself.
  • Prior contract or fractional work at an early-stage or scaling company, where ramp is measured in weeks.
  • Comfortable working through a flagship trade show cycle, including the run-up and the on-site weeks.
