SEN Teacher Sheffield Full-time / Part-time | Permanent or Long-Term

MPS / UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)

We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in Sheffield, working with pupils who have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated professional who is committed to inclusive education and making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEND
  • Work with pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
  • Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
  • Develop, review and implement EHCPs and individual support plans
  • Use effective behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
  • Collaborate closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, parents and external agencies
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
  • Has experience teaching pupils with SEND (mainstream or specialist setting)
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and differentiation skills
  • Is patient, resilient and childin their approach
  • Has a good understanding of SEND frameworks, EHCPs and safeguarding
  • Works well both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
