HR Business Partner
At OSTP, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We are now looking for an HR Business Partner – Competence & Work Ability to join our HR & Communications team of five professionals and strengthen our capabilities in Jakobstad.
In this role, you will play a key part in developing how we build competence, support employee development, and ensure long-term work ability – all in alignment with our strategy and future ambitions in digitalization and AI.
YOUR ROLE
As an HR Business Partner, you will take ownership of key HR processes related to:
COMPETENCE & LEARNING DEVELOPMENT
- Develop and maintain competence management practices, including competence matrices and development planning
- Coordinate training and learning activities (technical, soft skills, and certifications)
- Act as administrator of OSTP Academy (Learning Management System)
- Support the development of digital HR tools and data-driven ways of working
- Build cooperation with educational institutions and support talent pipelines
EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT
- Own and develop employee development processes (e.g. PDD, onboarding)
- Support supervisors in identifying and implementing development actions
- Monitor competence development and related KPIs
WORK ABILITY & WELL-BEING
- Develop and coordinate work ability management practices (early support, return-to-work)
- Act as the main contact for Occupational Health Care
- Support supervisors in work ability, well-being, and absence-related matters
- Analyze trends and drive preventive actions in cooperation with HSE and HR
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
BACKGROUND
- Bachelors or Masters degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
- Relevant experience in HR, especially within competence development, employee development, or work ability management
- Experience from an industrial or operational environment is an advantage

- Strong ability to take ownership and drive development forward
- Structured and analytical way of working
- Excellent cooperation and communication skills
- Ability to support and coach supervisors
- Interest in developing digital HR processes and data-driven practices
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Understanding of Finnish labor legislation and collective agreements
- Fluent in Finnish, Swedish, and English
