Accountabilities Design, build, and maintain the self-service data platform, including storage architecture, access management, and lifecycle management for large-scale datasets.

Develop reusable platform services and internal tooling that simplify data access, processing, and infrastructure management for engineering and research teams.

Design and optimize cloud-based storage solutions using modern object storage technologies and data formats to support scalable workflows.

Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives by developing and maintaining Terraform configurations, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes.

Implement secure-by-design platform capabilities, including access controls, data classification, and least-privilege security practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify platform capabilities that should be standardized and productized for broader organizational use.

Support scalable cloud infrastructure and continuously improve platform reliability, performance, and developer experience.

Promote engineering best practices, automation, and platform standards that enable efficient, self-service operations across technical teams.

Requirements

3–5+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related technical roles with strong ownership of production systems.

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, particularly Terraform, along with Kubernetes, Helm, and containerized environments.

Strong understanding of modern cloud storage technologies, object stores, relational databases, and contemporary data formats such as Parquet, Delta, or Iceberg.

Experience with workflow orchestration platforms such as Dagster, Airflow, Prefect, or similar technologies.

Strong software engineering skills using Python or another programming language suitable for platform and data engineering.

Experience implementing security best practices, including identity and access management, role-based permissions, and least-privilege principles.

Product-oriented mindset with experience building self-service platforms that improve developer productivity and operational efficiency.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional environments.

Experience with AWS cloud services is highly desirable.

Knowledge of machine learning infrastructure, scientific data platforms, regulated industries, or open-source contributions is considered an advantage.
