Accountabilities: In this role, you will be responsible for developing, evolving, and maintaining backend applications while applying modern engineering practices and AI-driven development approaches. You will contribute to technical decisions, system reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Develop and maintain Java applications using versions 8, 11, and 17.

Build and evolve microservices using Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and hexagonal architecture principles.

Develop integrations with technologies such as MongoDB, Oracle, RabbitMQ, and Kafka.

Implement automated tests, including unit and integration testing with JUnit and Mockito.

Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, supporting critical application demands.

Use AI tools to accelerate software development, testing, code review, documentation, and troubleshooting activities.

Work with AI concepts such as prompts, context engineering, knowledge bases, and guardrails to improve generated results.

Evaluate and improve AI-generated code, ensuring security, maintainability, and compliance with technical standards.

Contribute to experiments involving LLMs, RAG, AI agents, multi-agent systems, and automation applied to software engineering.

Work with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and delivery processes.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a senior Java developer with strong backend engineering experience and practical knowledge of artificial intelligence applied to software development. You should have experience building scalable systems, solving complex problems, and working in demanding technology environments.

Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, JPA, and Spring Batch.

Experience designing and developing microservices and applying hexagonal architecture.

Solid knowledge of MongoDB and Oracle databases.

Experience with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.

Strong understanding of automated testing practices using JUnit and Mockito.

Experience with GitLab and CI/CD processes.

Practical experience using AI tools to support software development activities.

Knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, and context engineering.

Familiarity with RAG, AI agents, multi-agent systems, and guardrails.

Ability to validate, improve, and optimize AI-generated outputs.

Experience working in banking or financial services environments.

Nice to have:

Knowledge of AWS cloud services.

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Familiarity with Kong as an API Gateway.

Experience with Backstage and Datadog.

Experience integrating AI agents or tools with repositories, pipelines, and development platforms.

Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude Code, or similar tools.
