Accountabilities: The Legal Document Reviewer will play a key role in supporting large-scale litigation matters by conducting thorough document reviews, identifying critical evidence, and contributing to legal analysis and case preparation.

Review and analyze large volumes of legal, technical, and evidentiary documents related to insurance litigation matters.

Assess documentation involving construction disputes, director and officer liability, and subrogated claims.

Identify relevant evidence and key legal issues to support litigation strategy.

Draft clear and concise legal memoranda and document summaries.

Collaborate virtually with legal teams to discuss findings and case developments.

Ensure document reviews are completed accurately, consistently, and within project timelines.

Apply sound legal judgment and analytical reasoning throughout the review process.

Utilize document review platforms and legal technology tools to manage case materials efficiently.

Work independently while maintaining effective communication with project stakeholders.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a qualified litigation lawyer with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a remote legal environment.

Civil law degree from a recognized university.

Active membership in the Alberta Bar in good standing.

1–5 years of litigation experience.

Strong legal research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

Excellent attention to detail and sound legal judgment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a remote team.

Experience reviewing complex legal and technical documentation.

Familiarity with document review platforms such as Relativity, Nextpoint, or similar tools is considered an asset.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
