Our client is a leading OEM supplier of products and services for medical devices and procedures.

The primary purpose of this job is to work independently and with the Chief Audit Executive to assess risk, set audit scopes, develop programs and plan audits, as well as performs, evaluates, and reports on specific audit assignments. 

  1. Adheres to the company's Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements.
  2. Identifies, documents, and ranks internal controls over financial reporting, and conducts quantitative and qualitative audit risk assessments.
  3. Utilizing the analyses from above, set audit scopes, develops audit programs, and assists the CAE in

developing the overall audit plan for the Company.

  1. Performs audit work in accordance with approved audit programs. Includes documentation of test results, evaluation of the results of testing, and review of results with operational management.
  2. Works with operational management to develop effective, cost efficient control remediations and

improvements.

  1. Reviews and assesses policies and procedures, and proposes new policies, improvements, etc. as warranted.
  2. Reviews audit status, issues, and recommendations with the CAE.
  3. Maintains open and proactive communication (verbally or in writing, as appropriate) with company personnel whose areas are being audited.
  4. Writes audit reports of findings, recommendations and management corrective action plans. May also present these reports in various management meetings.
  5. Participates in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) activities, which may include training, facilitating ERM working sessions, reporting, etc.
  6. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality over the information obtained during the course of internal audit work.
  7. Performs other functions as required.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.

Minimum 5 years accounting experience, and at least 2 as an auditor (internal or in public accounting).

Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Strong working knowledge of regulations of the FASB and SEC, and the provisions of Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002.

Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

Professional certification (CPA, CIA, CMA, or CISA) is required. 10-25% travel required.
