Our client is a leading OEM supplier of products and services for medical devices and procedures. It’s Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Group is seeking an experienced EHS Engineer. The primary purpose of this position is to work on ergonomic risk reduction projects and ensuring overall EHS compliance for the site.   

Essential functions of this position may include: Must identify and finish tasks in a timely manner. Strong sense of urgency. Assess ergonomic risk of operations as identified and provide and implement ergonomic risk reduction solutions. Remain proactive and hold all Associates accountable for safe work environment. Maintain compliance with all required registrations, permits, regulations, and reports required under city, county, state and federal law. Develop policies, procedures and training to inform and direct safe activities within the plant. Writes instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and training programs as needed to support projects and compliance. Conduct or coordinate effective dissemination of safety initiatives either through direct training or incorporation of methods, procedures and or cross functional team activities. Coordinates all cross functional team activities related to safety; Safety committee, ERT/First Aid team etc.. Conducts routine internal safety audits. Assists in accident investigations with results focusing on root cause and corrective actions.

  Position Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health and Safety field.    Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in EHS in a manufacturing setting. Specialized knowledge needed for performance of job: Knowledge of biomechanics, anatomy, ergonomics, and EHS regulations. Special Skills: Critical thinking, good organizational skills, time management, good communicator, self drive, customer champion.
