Hays - Senior Support / System Engineer

Your new role As a Senior Support/ System Engineer, you will take on a broad and hands-on position combining System Engineering, Microsoft 365 administration and 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support. This is not a purely infrastructure-focused role. You enjoy being close to users and are willing to remain actively involved in support activities, including first-line support. Your responsibilitiesinclude:

• Providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line IT support to users across Europe
• Troubleshootinghardware, software, Microsoft 365 and infrastructure-related incidents
• Managing and administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Windows and endpoint devices
• Coordinating onboarding, offboarding and user access requests
• Handling incidents, service requests, problems and changes within an ITIL-based environment
• Working with Jiraand Confluencefor ticket management, documentation and knowledge sharing
• Supporting the rolloutand further adoption of Jira and Confluence within the organization
• Collaboratingwith external IT vendorsand service providers
• Contributingto IT projects, operational improvements and technical documentation
• Providing backupand supportto colleagues within the team

The role is based in Waterloo and includes occasional travel to European offices, approximately once per month.

Your profile To succeed in this role, you combine strong technical expertisewith a service-oriented mindset. You have:

• Language skills are essential: Dutchand English are fluent, and ideally a good level of French
• A bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years of experienceas a System Engineer, IT Support Engineer or similar position
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID and Windows environments
• Experience across 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support environments
• Previous experience working with Jiraas a ticketingor IT service managementplatform
• Experience using Confluencefor documentationand knowledge management
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management principles
