Your tasks

• Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation .
• Operate heavy equipment.
• Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements .
• Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
• Complete onboard and other logs.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
• Secure special attachments to equipment.
• Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment.
• Perform minor repairs to equipment.

Requirements

Education Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Area of work experience Asphalt finishing.

Type of industry experience Road construction.

Transportation/travel information Willing to travel regularly. Valid driver's licence.

Work conditions and physical capabilities Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment.

1 year to less than 2 years.
