Finance Manager – Retail, Wholesale & Distribution (Alexandria Residents Only)

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the company’s finance and accounting operations across retail, wholesale, and distribution channels. The role is responsible for accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow and working capital management, strong internal controls, and financial analysis that supports business decisions. Lead and oversee all financial and accounting activities, ensuring accurate records and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.

Prepare annual financial statements, including the statement of financial position, income statement, cash flow statement, and supporting schedules and analysis.

Prepare quarterly financial statements and management reports, highlighting financial performance, key trends, and areas requiring action.

Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitor actual performance, and analyze variances.

Manage cash flow, liquidity, and funding requirements to support business operations.

Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer collections, supplier payments, and credit control.

Optimize working capital through effective management of receivables, payables, and inventory.

Oversee inventory counts, valuation, movements, and reconciliation of stock discrepancies.

Analyze inventory aging and slow-moving or obsolete stock, and recommend appropriate actions.

Monitor profitability by branch, sales channel, and product category.

Analyze sales, cost of goods sold, gross margins, and overall business profitability.

Evaluate pricing policies, discounts, and promotional offers from a financial perspective.

Establish and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls across branches, warehouses, and points of sale.

Review bank reconciliations, treasury activities, and cash handling processes.

Oversee tax compliance and coordinate with tax advisors and external auditors.

Coordinate internal and external audit activities and follow up on corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, local regulations, and company policies.

Improve financial systems, reporting processes, and ERP utilization.

Lead, develop, and evaluate the finance team.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to support commercial, investment, and expansion decisions.finance manager

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, business administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably including at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Previous experience in retail, wholesale, or distribution; experience in electronics or consumer goods is preferred.

Strong experience in preparing annual and quarterly financial statements and managing period-end closing.

Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.

Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, costing, stock valuation, and profitability analysis.

Solid experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, and credit control.

Experience managing financial operations across multiple branches and POS systems is a strong advantage.

Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.

Sound knowledge of applicable accounting standards, taxation, and local financial regulations.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
