Key Responsibilities & Core Deliverables

  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Execution: Run, audit, and analyze weekly and monthly MRP cycles in the ERP system based on Master Production Schedules (MPS); translate production plans into precise supplier delivery schedules and purchase requisitions.
  • Inventory Policy & Safety Stock Optimization: Establish, monitor, and optimize inventory parameters, including safety stock levels, reorder points (ROP), Economic Order Quantities (EOQ), and lead-time buffers across raw materials, semi-finished goods, and packaging.
  • Production Line Continuity (Zero Shortage): Partner proactively with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to track daily stock availability; identify critical material shortages early and coordinate expedited deliveries to prevent production line stoppages.
  • Supplier Delivery Scheduling & Call-Offs: Manage supplier delivery call-offs and long-term delivery forecasts for local and foreign suppliers; track supplier On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery compliance and resolve supply disruptions.
  • Slow-Moving & Obsolete Stock (SLOB) Mitigation: Conduct monthly reviews of aging, slow-moving, and non-moving raw materials; coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Finance to develop liquidation, rework, or return strategies to reduce working capital lock-up.
  • Engineering Change Management (ECN) Coordination: Collaborate with New Project and Engineering departments on Engineering Change Notices (ECN); synchronize phase-in and phase-out dates for materials to avoid stock obsolescence during design transitions.
  • ERP Master Data & BOM Integrity: Ensure continuous accuracy of planning master data in ERP (SAP/Oracle), including planning parameters, lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQ), scrap allowances, and Bill of Materials (BOM) linkages.
  • Warehouse & Line Feeding Alignment (Kanban/JIT): Partner with the Warehouse Manager to streamline raw material intake, line-side replenishment schedules, and just-in-time (JIT) Kanban pull systems to optimize storage space and internal transit times.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
  • Professional Experience: 10+ years of progressive material planning, production control, or supply chain experience in an industrial manufacturing or automotive plant (with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior lead capacity).
  • Certifications & Frameworks: Professional certifications such as CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management), CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), or Lean Six Sigma are strongly preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced mastery of MRP II methodologies, capacity planning, BOM architectures, inventory valuation, safety stock modeling, and supplier delivery scheduling.
  • Software & Digital Acumen: Extensive hands-on proficiency in ERP systems (SAP MM/PP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel (data modeling, nested lookups, pivot tables, and macros).
  • Leadership & Problem-Solving: Proven ability to lead under supply pressure, cross-functional negotiation skills, high analytical rigor, and decisive problem-solving capabilities.
