BUILDING PAINTER

Your tasks

We are looking for an experienced Painter to prepare and paint walls, ceilings, buildings, and other surfaces. The successful candidate will prepare surfaces, mix paints, apply finishes, and ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

• Read and interpret work instructions to prepare surfaces for painting
• Scrape, sand, and remove old paint to create smooth surfaces
• Fill cracks and holes using appropriate materials to ensure surface integrity
• Mix paint accurately to achieve the correct color and finish for each project
• Apply paint, varnish, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment to deliver high-quality finishes
• Set up scaffolding and protect surrounding areas to ensure safe and clean work conditions
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing tools and materials and disposing of waste properly
• Follow all workplace health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance
• Work at heights safely using ladders and scaffolding to complete painting tasks
• Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure quality and consistency in all painting work
• Perform physically demanding manual tasks required for painting projects
• Adapt to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays as needed to meet project deadlines

Requirements

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proven experience as a Painter
• Knowledge of painting materials, tools, and techniques
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices
