Optimizer

Responsibilities:

• Prepare cutting layouts using optimization software.
• Review cutting lists and verify dimensions, quantities and material specifications before processing.
• Arrange cutting plans to minimise waste while meeting order requirements.
• Account for grain direction, edging requirements and cutting allowances where applicable.
• Provide clear cutting plans and instructions to machine operators.
• Resolve discrepancies in cutting lists with the relevant team before production.
• Maintain accurate records of cutting plans, material usage and reusable offcuts.
• Coordinate with sales, warehouse and cutting teams to meet delivery schedules.

Requirements:

• Practical experience in panel cutting optimization.
• Proficiency in cutting optimization software.
• Ability to interpret cutting lists, measurements and technical drawings.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of panel sizes, material specifications and cutting allowances.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication, planning and coordination skills.
