Assistant Cook

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist the chef in preparing and cooking food.
• Wash, cut and prepare ingredients for cooking.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food ingredients.
• Assist with portioning and plating dishes.
• Monitor ingredient supplies and report shortages to the chef.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Follow food safety and workplace safety regulations.
• Support daily kitchen operations and ensure timely food preparation.
• Minimise food wastage and maintain an organised kitchen.
