Primary requirement

Possesses a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the execution of offshore pipeline design for Conceptual, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), and Detailed Design projects. Experienced in coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines throughout project execution to ensure seamless delivery of project objectives.

Specific accountabilities

Duties shall include the following:

Work under the supervision of the Lead Engineer and maintain effective communication with Engineers and Designers to ensure successful project execution.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Engineers, supporting them in resolving both technical and non-technical issues through practical and effective solutions.

Demonstrate experience in the preparation of Scope of Work (SOW) documents for pre-engineering surveys, verification of field survey activities in accordance with client specifications, and review and authentication of geophysical and geotechnical survey reports.

Shall have experience in working on the following subsea pipeline design activities such as:

Preparation of offshore pipeline basis of design documents

Offshore pipeline route selection studies

Offshore pipeline coating selection studies

Offshore pipeline wall thickness design (as per latest DNV standards)

Generation of on-bottom stability studies (as per latest DNV standards & recommended practices)

Offshore pipeline cathodic protection design studies (as per latest DNV, ISO standards & DNV recommended practices)

Subsea pipeline upheaval and lateral buckling analysis and design (analysis using ABAQUS FEM software is preferred as added advantage)

Riser flexibility stress analysis including VIV studies

Riser fatigue design studies (as per latest DNV standards & recommended practices)

Pipeline crossing analysis using AUTOPIPE

Pipeline crossing support design

Should have experience in working in high pressure gas line with provision of high-pressure subsea valves

Pipeline laying and riser installation studies

On-bottom roughness analysis and studies using FEM software

Pigging assurance and knowledge on cable driven pigging is preferred

Pipeline and riser protection studies

Shore-pull analysis and design studies

Preparation of subsea pipeline material and construction specifications

Design and installation of subsea cables

Construction and procurement support. Shall have experience in preparation of material requisition, technical bid evaluation, purchase requisitions and vendor document reviews

Offshore pipeline material, construction associated cost estimation

Preparation of EPC tender package

Specific knowledge on waves machines and structural dynamics related to offshore pipeline analysis & design is a must

Well experience in use of industry standard software like DNV SESAM, AUTOPIPE, CAESAR, ORCAFLEX, etc.

Knowledge on industry software like ABAQUS, ANSYS, AGA, OFFPIPE etc.

Shall have experience in pipeline installation and to provide construction support guidance to installation (EPC) contractor

Design and review of offshore pipeline drawings including:

Field layout drawings

Alignment sheets

Riser general arrangement drawings

Crossing drawings

Approach drawings (platform and shore)

Shore crossing drawings

Anode detail drawings etc.

Review and interpret technical project bidding documents related to offshore pipelines and associated multidisciplinary engineering works

Prepare pipeline engineering man-hour estimates and develop execution methodologies for Concept, FEED, and Detailed Engineering phases

Participate in technical discussions with clients, project managers, and discipline leads to resolve engineering and project-related issues, ensuring timely and effective project execution

Prepare technical reports, studies, engineering assessments, and other project documentation as required to support project deliverables and decision-making

Quality assurance: Responsible for ensuring compliance with Worley’s Quality Management System (QMS) and adhering to all applicable quality procedures, standards, and guidelines relevant to business and project requirements

Safety: Responsible for maintaining personal safety and promoting safe working practices across all assigned projects, in accordance with Worley’s health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements

Essential skills/experience

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil (Structural) Engineering

Proven experience working within an engineering consultancy environment on multidisciplinary projects

Minimum 10 years of design experience in offshore pipeline engineering

Good understanding and application of relevant international codes and standards, including DNV, API, ASME, NACE, BS, and other applicable industry standards

Strong communication, interpersonal, and technical report-writing skills in English

Capable of performing assigned work independently, in accordance with established technical guidelines, and with minimal supervision

Demonstrated ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and prioritize workload to meet project requirements

Willingness and flexibility to undertake temporary or long-term assignments at other Worley offices worldwide, as required to support project execution
