Your tasks
Position Overview As a bartender at the Sylvia Hotel, you will be the face of our bar, providing exceptional service to our guests while crafting delicious cocktails, serving beverages, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and attention to detail will play a pivotal role in enhancing our guests? experience.
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and guest preferences.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their needs are met and exceeding their expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the bar and kitchen teams to provide seamless service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking and ordering supplies as needed.
- Stay updated on new trends in mixology and suggest creative additions to the cocktail menu.
- Manage cash and process payments accurately, following company guidelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced, high-quality establishment.
- Knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
- Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
- Possession of necessary certifications, such as Serving It Right (or regional equivalent).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
