*Company Background: *
Taymer International Incorporated is a Canadian manufacturer of machine vision and length measurement equipment. We are primarily active in the wire and cable industry. We currently require a Machinery Design Engineer to join our team of Mechanical, Electrical and Photonics Engineers.
Your tasks
*Position Summary: *Taymer continues to grow significantly as our technology becomes more widely accepted in the market. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow with us in these new product arenas. The successful applicant will be comfortable in a small company. Your focus will be on supply chain management, production delivery, process improvements, inventory management, ISO implementation, and data integrity.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Evaluate incoming customers? orders and requirements. Then liaise with design engineering, production and our vendors to ensure machines and parts are built on time and in high quality
- Supply chain management
- Continual process improvements
- Prepare BOMs and keep inventory accurate
- Work together with Mechanical Technicians to assemble, fabricate and service components for Taymer's machinery.
- Chance of occasional international travel
Requirements
*Education Requirements: *
- Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
*Work Experience Requirements: *
- 2 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience or familiarity with quality control, inventory management, and/or ERP systems
- 5S implementation an asset
Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Well-organized, able to manage a variety of tasks in parallel in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be a self-starter.
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude
- Tolerance understanding an asset
- CAD experience an asset
- Familiarity with principles of machine design an asset
- Machining experience with lathes, mills, grinders, and sanders an asset
Education
- Bachelor's Degree (required)
- Manufacturing Engineering: 2 years (required)

Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
